Umpire & Officials Advisory Group

In 2017 the Hockey New Zealand Umpires Council was disestablished in its traditional format. To ensure the strong voice of this community is maintained into key strategic decisions, the Hockey New Zealand Umpires & Officials Advisory Group (UOAG) has been established.

The purpose of the UOAG is to help support the continued growth and development of Umpires and Officials in New Zealand by ensuring the community perspective is provided to Hockey New Zealand on issues and opportunities relating to Umpires and Officials.

Accordingly, we are pleased to advise that Lyn Farrell (Auckland) and Mike Treloar (Marlborough) have been appointed to the UOAG as part of an interim panel for 2017, and then a further full two year term (2018, 2019).

We are now calling for applications in order to appoint a further two more members to this advisory group to commence in January 2018. Application closing date is 30 November 2017. A copy of the UOAG terms of reference and application form is attached.

Should you require any further information or wish to discuss any matters specific to the UOAG, please contact Colin French in the first instance.
