There's plenty of action happening around the Pioneer Energy Women's Tri Nations in Cromwell from 19-27 May.

Warm down with the Vantage Black Sticks

Would your hockey team like to warm down on the Cromwell turf with the gold medal winning Vantage Black Sticks? Meet the players, learn the best warm down techniques, receive a free mini stick for signing and get a team photo!

Competition open to under 12 years or Primary age school hockey teams.

Gold Medal Celebration Event

Here's your chance to hear the inside story on the gold medal winning campaign from the Vantage Black Sticks coach and players at our very special fundraising event for the Hockey Foundation. The Hockey Foundation raises money to provide grants to support coaching and grassroots initiatives to get our kids active – see for more details. 

Enjoy delicious canapes from Moreish Kitchen, cash bar, meet the players, grab a selfie or get your favourite stick signed and maybe get to touch a gold medal!

Pioneer Energy Tri Nations Community Events

Hockey NZ are teaming up with Central Otago Hockey Association to provide development opportunities during the Pioneer Energy Tri Nations Women's International Hockey tournament in Cromwell.

If you are an administrator in an association and/or club you will have the opportunity to meet with Hockey NZ’s Capability Manager Rachel Minton-Smith.

Umpire Development Opportunities

Umpire Mentoring Course - 10.30am-12.30pm, Sunday 20th May at Cromwell Hockey Field Pavilion
This course is for existing umpires who would like to develop their skills to support the development of junior umpires. There is no cost to attend, all participants will need to register. 

Small Sticks Umpiring Course - 1-3pm, Saturday 26th May at Cromwell Hockey Field Pavilion
This course is for new umpires and those who have only just started umpiring Small Sticks. There is no cost involved and all participants are required to register.

Coach Development Opportunities

Coaches Morning Tea - 9-10.30am, Friday 25th May at Cromwell Hockey Field Pavilion
This is an informal question and answer session with Vantage Black Sticks Women’s head coach Mark Hager, Australia head coach Paul Gaudoin and Japan head coach Anthony Farry. All coaches from community to performance are welcome to attend, spaces are limited so register now. The cost is $10.00 and morning tea will be provided. 

Club and Youth Coaching Course (New and Existing Coaches)
9.30am-12.30pm, Sunday 27th May at Cromwell Hockey Field Pavilion
This course is for future and current coaches of the youth and club space who are wanting to connect with their peers and extend their knowledge and understanding to better support their athletes. If you would like to attend please ensure you register. The cost of the course is $10.00, morning tea will be provided.

Association and Club Administration Development Opportunities 

Drop-In Support Session (including STG) - 12.45-2pm, Sunday 27th May at Cromwell Hockey Field Pavilion

Hockey NZ's Capability Manager will be available for the hockey community to drop in and ask any key questions. You are NOT required to register for this event.
