Following a recent under-21 selection camp, Hockey New Zealand are pleased to announce the New Zealand Under 21 women’s hockey team to play a test series against Australia from November 26 to December 3 this year in Hawke’s Bay.
A total of 21 women have been chosen for the team, including six from Canterbury, three from Auckland, five from central, four from North Harbour and one each from Midlands, Northland and Capital.
“The Trans-Tasman series gives us a great opportunity to test ourselves against a quality opposition,” said Head Coach Greg Nicol. “We have a good blend of youth and experience in the team and we are looking forward to seeing how we combine as a group under the pressure of international hockey. The series will be a great challenge for our team and one we are excited about.”
