Information for Ticket Holders – Auckland

GATES

Gates will open 1 hour prior to the beginning of the first game on each event day. i.e. Gates open at 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 1st with the first game beginning at 5:00 pm.

GETTING TO THE EVENT BY BUS (SHUTTLE) 

In the hour preceding the first match and after the last match finishes a free transport service to or from the Constellation bus station and the venue will operate. The pickup points will be clearly indicated with signage. 

You can catch these bus services to the National Hockey Centre on Bush Road, Rosedale. Visit Journey Planner for the latest timetables and to plan your journey.

Catch NX1 BusStop 7016 – Customs St East/Queen St, Customs St East near Queens Arcade

From the City, catch the Northern Express bus service which operates from Customs St East/Queen St, Customs St East near Queens Arcade (Stop 7016) to Albany Station or Constellation Station. From these stations you can catch the above bus services.   

Getting to the city by Ferry 

From the Downtown Ferry Terminal catch the Northern Express service from stop 7016 on Customs St East/Queen St, Customs St East near Queens Arcade. The northern Express will take you to both Constellation and Albany bus stations.

WALK OR CYCLE TO THE EVENT 

There are good walking and cycling options to get to the hockey centre. The newly built bridge over Alexandra Stream and shared path in Rosedale Park connects people walking and on bike to the facility from Rosedale Park North. Bicycle parks are also available at the Hockey Centre. 

WHERE TO PARK IF TRAVELLING BY CAR 

Allow time – it’s likely to be busy prior to an event, so allow time to find somewhere to park and walk. Car-pooling is also a good option to consider.   

Where to park – Whilst there is parking available in the surrounding streets and nearby in Rosedale Park North we encourage you to take advantage of public transport and / or the event shuttles. We have also arranged parking nearby at Pinehurst School – look for the event parking signs. 

Please park responsibly and do not park in local businesses car parks; these are private car parks and you will likely be towed.  

The main car park on Bush Road next to the hockey centre will have limited spaces available and will fill up quickly, so save yourself time and consider parking in the locations shown below. 

Drive safely and responsibly – The surrounding streets will be busy, and we are sharing them with other users, so please drive safely. If you travel to the car park on Bush Road and find it’s full, don’t U-Turn; please carry on around the block to Rosedale Park or on to Pinehurst School where event parking has been arranged. Please be aware that there is a new Alexandra Stream bridge should you chose to park within Rosedale Park or on Jack Hinton Drive. 

SEATING 

If you have a general admission ticket, you will have the option to find a seat in the grandstand opposite the pavilion (2300 seats) or standing at either of the far ends of the turf. Grandstand seating is first come, first served.  

If you have a premium seat, look for the premium seating signs to direct you to your seats.

All those with VIP and corporate hospitality tickets will have access to the Harbour Hockey clubhouse in the main pavilion.

NOISE MAKERS 

Attendees must not bring in any whistles, horns or other noisemakers into the event.  

FOOD & BEVERAGE 

The FIH Pro League event will offer a range of affordable food and beverage options, including wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. Each of these accept cash and/or eftpos. Attendees will be allowed to bring only non-commercial food items into the venue.   

PRINTING OF TICKETS 

We encourage you to print your tickets before coming to the ground. If you clicked collect at venue, please head to the Ticketek Office located in the container at the main entrance to see the lovely Ticketek staff. 

SECURITY

There will be an increased security presence at the event for your safety and the safety of the players, staff and volunteers. Please be mindful of the terms and conditions of entry into the event to avoid disappointment at the gate. In case there is a large queue’s at the entry gates we do encourage you to come early to avoid missing the start of any games. We have added security staff to ensure a thorough and quick process to minimise any disruption to fans. Thank you for your understanding. 

BLACK OUT 

We encourage all New Zealand fans to wear black to show support and national pride for our Vantage Black Sticks squads. Black Sticks apparel will also be available at the event for purchase in the fan village.
