Hockey is a fast-flowing and exciting sport that thousands of Kiwis enjoy every year from grassroots to elite level. It’s unique amongst other popular codes as both men’s and women’s teams compete alongside each other at all levels, internationally and domestically, with equal recognition and profile.

Hockey is also New Zealand’s only mainstream team sport which features at Olympic, World Cup and Commonwealth Games.

More than 117 countries participate in hockey around the world and New Zealand is represented at the highest level by the Black Sticks Men and Women.

No matter your age, gender or skill level, you have the chance to be a part of the sport whether it be as a player, coach, umpire or club helper!
