International Masters Events

Hockey New Zealand is excited to open expressions of interest and player registrations for the 2022 WMH Masters World Cup’s.  

EOI’s for positions include: Selectors, Coaches and Managers 

Registrations: Players for all age groups. 

The landscape has changed over the past couple of years with Covid-19 affecting the ability to travel and forcing the cancellation of WMH events.  WMH are committed to hosting the events in 2022 and have indicated that they will make an early decision if the events are to be cancelled.  In the event of cancellation, HNZ will look to offer alternative opportunities to our National Masters players.

Cancellations aside, HNZ is keen to send teams in all age groups and genders categories.


HNZ is selecting teams to travel to the following tournaments:  

WMH World Cup: Nottingham, ENGLAND

The process of appointing umpires and related officials is still being worked through with WMH. We’ll update you as soon as that process has been confirmed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for consideration when completing forms:  

    • Participation is at nominees’ full expense. HNZ is currently working with House of Travel to finalise the cost of the land package which includes, accommodation, local transport and any official team dinners. 
    • Flights, uniform, travel insurance and pre-event team camps are an additional expense. 
    • All nominees will be required to agree to abide by the FIH and the HNZ Code of Conduct. You will need to have a valid passport in order to travel. 

Teams are selected as per the HNZ Masters Selection Policy

    • Coaching EOI’s close January 23rd 2022
    • Managers EOI’s close January 23rd 2022 
    • Selectors close January 23rd 2022 
    • Players Registrations close February 14th 2022
