Northland Women name Vantage Black Sticks Trio for Ford NHL

Mark Cromie Motor Group Northland have named their women’s side to contest the 2019 Ford NHL beginning in Tauranga on Saturday the 14th September. The squad will be bolstered by their trio of Vantage Black Sticks Women of Stacey Michelsen, Brooke Neal and Ella Gunson. Fresh off their remarkable win over the Australians in the Oceania Cup the three Northland players will be looking to continue their roll going for the National Hockey League.

Mark Cromie Motor Group Northland have named an experienced side to contest the 2019 Ford NHL, Brooke Neal and Stacey Michelsen both missed the 2018 Ford NHL and their return will boost what looks like an incredibly strong core. Northland has some great depth in their region and this is highlighted by four Under 18 players Pippa Crogt, Alysha Donovan, Tiana Currie and Jess Pilmer all being named in the squad. Naomi Evans who made her debut in late 2018 for the Hockeyroos is an international guest player for the Northlanders. Evans is an outstanding goal scorer who will add some firepower up front for the Northland attack. After finishing the 2018 season in sixth place this squad will look to fight its way back into the final for the second time in three years and get their hands on the K Cup for the first time.
