PlayHQ Drop-In Sessions

On the 8th March, HNZ are holding weekly online drop in support session for PlayHQ administrators and users from Associations, Clubs and Schools running until the beginning of the school season in May. We will run a daytime and evening session to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to attend.

This is the opportunity to come and find out more about the platform and how to make the most of the benefits of PlayHQ. As well as ongoing training, this is the forum to bring your questions, challenges and anything that has you stumped, and we will do our best to assist and help you find the answers.

May 23rd 2022

Each fortnight PlayHQ releases development and enhancements to the platform. This work is known as a “Sprint”.

If you are an administrator for an Association, Club or School, you will notice that sometimes when you log in to the Administrator portal there will be an update button on the left hand bottom corner. This is to update the version of PlayHQ you are using to incorporate the developments from the sprint.

Each month we will publish the release notes from that sprint period, drawing your attention to any changes that are relevant to hockey.

  • Release Notes 14th April in particular – Escoring club admin access -Escoring device takeover – My Teams adding non allocated team players to line ups – Registrations duplicate management warning – Registrations confirming registration details – Organisation Search enhancement
  • Release Notes 28th April in particular – Hockey game default settings -Competition configuring for/against points
  • Release Notes 12th May in particular — mobile user experience -Competition Regrading

March 3rd 2022

Associations and Clubs who are onboarding to PlayHQ will have received their administrator logins and can commence with setting up inside the system. This includes setting up programmes, competitions, registration forms and organisational details such as additional admins.

Registrations can go live from Wednesday 9th March which will allow us ensure that platform is behaving in a hockey and New Zealand specific way. On this date, the public will be able to view all hockey organisations on the PlayHQ landing page, including competition and program details for those that are opening on PlayHQ soon https://www.playhq.com/

We also welcome North Otago Hockey, Central Otago Hockey and Hockey Wairarapa to PlayHQ, joining Auckland, Canterbury, Northland, Otago, Wellington, Taranaki and Tauranga – meaning approximately 25,000 players translating to 46% of our player base across the country will be on the PlayHQ platform. With more Associations poised to onboard later in 2022 we are looking forward to welcoming you all and your organisation reaping the benefits.

If your Association would like to make the move onto the PlayHQ platform for Winter 2022, you are not too late – contact Rachel to discuss.

We’re excited for the launch of PlayHQ happening over the next couple of weeks! We can’t wait to introduce you to all the great things PlayHQ has to offer

We have seven Associations joining us on PlayHQ in the Winter 2022 season: Auckland, Canterbury, Northland, Otago, Wellington, Taranaki and Tauranga, approximately 25,000 players translating to 46% of our player base across the country will be on the PlayHQ platform. With more Associations poised to onboard later in 2022 we are looking forward to welcoming you all and your organisation reaping the benefits.

We have information nights and training webinars happening over the next couple of weeks so you can get up to speed with how to use PlayHQ.

Prior to the training session your designated association contact will receive an email confirming your administration access has been granted.  Please follow the steps in the email to finish creating your account.  It is important that you please register with your personal email address, even for your admin account, as in PlayHQ you use the same account as both a Participant and Administrator, and this will ensure you have a single view and log-in across the entire platform.  The email will be sent from Notification and have the subject line Welcome to PlayHQIf you do not receive an email by 5pm Friday please check your spam folder, and if not received contact rachel.minton-smith@hockeynz.co.nz
