We need your help to hear hockey’s views

Hockey is one of several sports who participates in Voice of the Participant – an annual survey led by Sport NZ and Nielsen that aims to capture and interpret membership data in a meaningful way so that Hockey NZ, Associations and Clubs can utilise the information to improve the overall hockey experience for their members.

The 2021 survey is about to get underway and we are asking Associations and Clubs to assist us in the distribution of surveys to members.

There are a variety of channels we will utilise:

    • Direct emails from Nielsen to members on our database.
    • Links posted on the Hockey New Zealand website
    • Links posted on our social media channels such as Facebook

Associations can assist by:

An exciting new feature of Voice of the Participant 2021 is the inclusion of Club and Association summaries. Nielsen will provide a short summary report (approximately two pages) with results for each Club/Association with more than 30 responses.

By completing the survey, you will go into the draw to win one of two $100 Prezzy Cards. Hockey NZ also has two $300 Kookaburra vouchers up for grabs for clubs who record the highest responses from their members.

You can find a link to the survey here. Please share this to your clubs, club members far and wide so we are able to get as many responses as possible and make Voice of the Participant 2021 a success so we can create a lasting impact to our hockey whānau.

We will be in touch directly with Associations with the resources and links for sharing to their communities, in the meantime you can read more about Voice of the Participant here and you can view the Voice of the Participant 2018 results for hockey here.
