Future Black Sticks Coaches Programme welcomes 15 Coaches for 23/24

The Future Black Sticks (FBS) Coaches Programme gets underway with the first residential camp in October alongside the Future Black Sticks Programme super camp.

The programme will provide a blend of hands on coaching, peer to peer support, individual development plans, FIH formal coach education, and opportunities to observe and/or engage in the Vantage Black Sticks and Future Black Sticks Programmes.Development will be provided through residential camps, Hockey NZ and FIH Workshops, engagement in regional activities, and connection to external opportunities.

Coaches will remain on the programme for a 12month period to support on-going development, and capture key lessons to inform and enhance the programme for the future.This year 51 applications were received from 14 associations, and 15 coaches were selected.
