Entries for the 2025 Secondary School Tournaments will open Wednesday 2nd April and will close Friday 9th May.

Following that, Hockey New Zealand will confirm final tournament entries by Friday 16th May.

Schools are forwarded the opportunity to decide which tournament they attend as Tier 3 and Tier 4 tournaments do not have any qualification requirements.

Schools should choose tournaments based on the ability of their team and the location of the tournament. Schools will gain automatic entry into tournaments located in their region.

If schools wish to enter a tournament outside their regional body, then they will be placed on a waitlist. Should spaces become available, and the viability of the local tournament is not impacted then schools will be allocated through a randomised selection process. 

Entries will open in April and be confirmed in May, you are able to enter a tournament outside your region, however HNZ will not be able to guarantee your place in the tournament until entries are confirmed.
