2025 JHL Officials Panel Announced
The officials panel for the 2025 Junior Hockey League (JHL) has been announced, bringing together a blend of experienced umpires and promising talent. The group will oversee the tournament which is set to take place at Kings College in Auckland over Sunday 13th April – Thursday 17th April.
Hockey New Zealand Technical Manger Colin French says, “This is an exciting opportunity to bridge the current gap between our U18 national tournaments and our high-performance hockey events like the Premier Hockey League (PHL). It provides an important step for our aspirational officials in a competitive environment at this higher level. The JHL will provide a “camp style” assembly featuring education, training, and match play for the officials and we’re looking forward to seeing the development, growth, and learning from this group.”
The panel includes Kerry Dyson as the Tournament Director, two Technical Officials, two Umpire Coaches, and eight Umpires. Notably, the Umpire Coaches include highly experienced and well-known Olympic umpires Amber Church and David Tomlinson, who also officiated in the 2024 Premier Hockey League (PHL).
