Coach’s Comment:

The 2025 Indoor Hockey World Cup marks the second occasion that the New Zealand women's team will compete on the world stage. Following a successful Oceania Championship, where the team proved they were competitive against Australia, the squad is eagerly anticipating the upcoming tournament.

The team features a strong blend of seasoned players with five players bringing valuable experience from the last World Cup, as well as emerging talent eager to contribute to the team's success. The coaching group of John Carrol, Jolene Casey and I all bring our unique qualities to the team and balance each other well.

I am extremely pleased with the team we have selected and am confident that this group will not only perform at their best but will also fully embrace the experience. The entire squad has shown remarkable dedication and hard work and with the enthusiasm and camaraderie within the team are excited to support their ongoing development.  - Gaye Tarrant Women’s Head Coach
