New Zealand to host Masters Hockey World Cup
Hockey New Zealand is pleased to announce that a portion of the World Masters 2024 Hockey World Cup will be played at the National Hockey Centre, home of North Harbour Hockey, in Auckland.Age groups participating in Auckland will be O45 & O50 Women and Men; O55-O70 Women and O55-O60 Men.HNZ Acting CEO Ken Maplesden is delighted to be able to host a fantastic tournament in New Zealand.“Securing the rights to host these age groups is a testament to the quality of our facilities and the attractiveness of Auckland as a place to not only play hockey, but to enjoy away from the turf.“We’re also looking forward to seeing some quality hockey on display and hope that the home advantage will see our teams excel!”New Zealand Major Events is delighted to support Hockey New Zealand in hosting the 2024 Hockey Masters World Cup alongside South Africa.Major Events Manager, Kylie Hawker-Green, said "the New Zealand Government values events that generate economic, social, and cultural benefits, and this is why we are pleased to be able to support Hockey New Zealand with investment through our Major Events Fund.“Aotearoa New Zealand is renowned for being a warm and welcoming host.
